Does it say something that only 2 High Point Guns can p the California Safety Drop Test?
Not being on the California Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale does not necessarily mean they cannot p the tests--it just means they haven't ped the test. It costs manufacturers to submit handguns for testing, as a consequence perfectly good handguns are simply not submitted for testing. Check the Taurus site to see how many more handguns they build than are on the list. Other handguns simply do not meet the design criteria--safeties and loaded chamber indicators are a couple of the bug-a-boos. While I'm not an apologist for High Point it is unfair to condemn them because only 2 of their models are included on the list--after all, only 2 North American Arms models are on the list too.
