I really want to learn czech. Whats the best way to motivate myself to teach myself?

wow,that is something.I am slovakian and can ure you that it is not an easy language to learn (they are similar).the best way would be to grasp some basics (though pronounciation in books is usually really bad but you have to start somewhere).then, book yourself a ticket and go there (not necessarily to Prague, they speak funny in there, everybody takes piss out of their accent, it`s a lovely country....:-), for a week or two to get a grasp of the language.or get a teaching job in there,even if it was for the summer, they are paid rather well.the best way to learn a language is to move to that contry though (own experience with learning english and italian).what would take you to learn a few years from a book, you`ll learn in that particular country within a few months.good luck!
