Rubik's Cube quick solve?

Just finished learning how to solve it from Dan Brown. Any more algorithms for each step, because using just the one can take from 1 to 5 or more performances. Any tips or tricks or anything else like that. My current record of the 10 first solves is like 5 mins. Probably should lube it first, though.
