Will the American 'Tea Party' movement split the Conservative vote enabling Democrats to win the midterms?

I'm sure many Republicans will vote Democrat if the only candidate is a Tea Partier. There is no vote splitting for Midterm elections. Most Tea Partiers still identify as Republican and are fighting for the GOP nomination during the primaries.
